On Saturday February 15, a Requiem Mass for the composer and choral conductor Colin Mawby will take place at St Mary Moorfields, London. Some of Mawby’s own settings will be sung at the Mass, which begins at 11am and will be said by Mgr Gordon Read, national chaplain of the Latin Mass Society – of which Mawby was a patron.
A Texas widows’ ministry will hold its Meet, Eat and Greet event this Sunday, February 16, from 1pm to 3pm. St. Paula’s Patrons’ Widows Ministry meets at St Ann’s parish in Coppell; to RSVP and for details, see stannparish.org.
Next Friday, February 21, is a chance to start preparing for the rededication of England as the Dowry of Mary on March 29. The organisers are encouraging Catholics to join “a do-it-yourself retreat”, which involves 33 days of prayerful preparation for personal consecration on March 25, the Feast of the Annunciation.
