The feast of St John Bosco (right) falls on January 31. An educator and missionary known, among other things, for his skill at juggling and his use of magic tricks in catechesis, his feast will be marked by the institute he founded, the Salesians.
Next Friday, January 31, London’s Irish Chaplaincy will host a celebration of Irish music, poetry and dancing to mark the eve of the Feast of St Brigid. It starts at 7pm at St James’s, Piccadilly.
