Britain goes to the polls on Thursday, December 12, with most pollsters predicting a Conservative victory while others forecast a hung parliament. The bishops have urged Catholics to use their vote: “Conscious of the common good of every person and our society as a whole, we ask everyone to engage with the election and vote.”
December 8 would normally be the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception (pictured), but as December 8 is a Sunday, the Solemnity will instead be celebrated on Monday, December 9, in both Britain and the United States.
The film Love and Mercy, which tells the story of St Faustina Kowalska and the Divine Mercy devotion in drama-documentary style, will have its final cinema screenings on Tuesday, December 10. To find screenings, see fathomevents.com/events/faustina-love-and-mercy. There will also be a DVD released at some point in the future.
