Poland’s Prime Minister Beata Szydlo has attended the first Mass celebrated by her older, who was ordained a priest at the weekend.
Fr Tymoteusz Szydlo, 25, celebrated Mass on Sunday at the church in Przecieszyn where he was baptised as a child. It is traditional in Poland for a newly-ordained priest to celebrate his first Mass in the town where he grew up.
On the feast of Pentecost, he will celebrate Mass in the Extraordinary Form at the Church of the Holy Cross in Krakow, which is served by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP).
Poland is probably the last country in Europe where a picture of the Prime Minister going to her son’s first Holy Mass is possible. pic.twitter.com/dd0QSBNTvm
