Our Lady’s Abingdon is a Catholic, independent day school welcoming girls and boys aged 7 to 18 of all faiths and none. The Governors seek an inspiring academic leader who is a committed and practising Catholic, with a strong personal faith. Working alongside the Chief Operating Officer, you will have the proven ability to assist the Governors in activating OLA’s next stage strategic plan.
The new Head will have:
The personal faith to lead and support OLA’s Catholic ethos, values and mission
A demonstrable record of senior leadership experience and evidence of marked school improvement
The ability to co-lead, with the Chief Operating Officer, the Operational Leadership Team, helping to mentor, shape and implement a leadership development plan
The vision to develop and implement an academic strategic development plan, to raise academic standards even higher and further increase OLA’s esteemed value- added output
A commitment to engage with all stakeholders in the school community through an interactive and personable management style
The creativity and vision to inspire and lead change and the commitment to ensure successful outcomes are achieved
Highly effective communication skills that will inspire, motivate and lead all key stakeholders
An appreciation of the dynamic nature of working in an independent school and the business centric approach required to succeed
