Since the war in Ukraine began, the importance of independent frontline journalism has become ever more apparent. In the face of Putin’s propaganda machine, journalists from around the world have sought to report on the true horrors of the war from the ground in Kyiv, Lviv and Mariupol.
To support such objective reporting, we are launching a new Herald Journalism Fellowship programme. The fellowship will allow us to fund original journalism from Eastern Europe, the Holy Land, Africa, Latin America, Asia, Australia and the USA and other regions. With your help, we will sponsor Catholic authors, commentators and academics from across the globe to report on current affairs
By sponsoring a year of original reporting in a country of your choice, you can make a real difference. Fellowships range from £5,000, for a journalist starting their career, up to £15,000 a year for experienced authors/academics. Please consider supporting independent journalism.
Having been unable to sell in churches for well over a year due to the pandemic, we are now inviting readers to support the Herald by investing in our future. We have been a bold and influential voice in the church since 1888, standing up for traditional Catholic culture and values.
Please join us on our 130 year mission by supporting us. We are raising £250,000 to safeguard the Herald as a world-leading voice in Catholic journalism and teaching. For more information from our chairman on contributing to the Herald Patron's Fund, click here
