Benedict XVI’s remarks on Aids and condoms in his book-length interview Light of the World (full excerpt and full text of Vatican clarification) have attracted comment from John Allen, Damian Thompson, Archbishop Charles Chaput, Jack Valero, Janet Smith, Lisa Graas, Austen Ivereigh, Thomas Peters, John Thavis, Elizabeth Scalia, Amy Welborn, Jimmy Akin, Stephen Bates, Jeff Miller, Andrew Brown and Fr James Martin SJ.

Bishop Bernard Fellay, superior general of the Society of St Pius X, has ordered Bishop Richard Williamson to dismiss his Far Right lawyer or face expulsion from the SSPX.
