The New York Times had a story earlier this year that told of Navy fighter pilots who’d reported close encounters with unidentified flying objects – UFOs – including several dangerously close, in eight incidents between June 27, 2013, and Feb. 13, 2019. In June, the Times reports, the US Department of Defense authenticated three videos of encounters on which the Gray Lady had already reported.
