The First XV recorded a successful season in an extremely competitive fixture list by recording eight victories, one draw and five losses during the 15-a-side domestic season, and recording further success in the seven-a-side game with tournament victories at Durham School, Pocklington School and Ashville College at under-18, 16 and 14 age groups respectively.
The under-15s also played their part in assisting the teams to another tournament victory at Durham School in February in a whole school tournament.
Ampleforth is a Benedictine school under the guidance and care of the monks of Ampleforth. The Rule of St Benedict, written in the sixth century, has provided a wise and enduring framework, both spiritual and practical, to guide religious communities ever since. St Benedict shows how, through prayer and work, the individual can grow closer to God through living in a community.
